I love Halloween! and, I love these Pumpkin Mason Jars. They remind me of exactly what it is that I love so much about the holiday – my mom decorating the house for my birthday (okay, it wasn’t really for my birthday, though that is in late October). When I was a little girl, it certainly seemed like she was doing it for me. It totally made me feel like I had my own holiday; and to this day, when I start seeing pumpkin decorations, I know my birthday month is very very close; and I can’t help but get excited.
These would make wonderful gifts for an office halloween party. You could also have your kids help and then put in some cool candy for a teacher gift. You could probably do this with any type or size jars, which would be a great way to use all those empty jars you’ve kept for upcycling crafts.
The first thing you want to do is paint the jars. I like to spray paint the lids since they are all in one color. Read the directions on the back of the spray paint can before you paint.
If you are going to do multiple colors of pumpkins I recommend using acrylic paint for the jars since it is a lot cheaper than purchasing a bunch of different spray paint colors. You can also spray paint them if you want.
